Our Team

Ian graduated in management studies from Warwick University before qualifying as a chartered accountant with PWC (formerly Deloitte Haskins & Sells). He then worked as the finance director of 2 London law firms and as the chief executive of a City law firm. In 1996, he set up EJ Mergers (part of the EJ Group) and spent 10 years specialising in team and firm mergers and partner recruitment.

As well as offering consultancy advice to law firms, Ian has also spoken at various conferences and seminars in the UK and Europe. He has written articles for the legal press on the merger market and on other topical issues such as The Legal Services Bill.

In his spare time, Ian enjoys being bossed about by his three children, walking, playing golf and he is a passionate supporter of Liverpool.
